The People We Serve

One of CUE’s central areas of focus is our people. While this does include our Center’s faculty, staff and students, it more broadly encompasses our local community (families, organizations, institutions in the public and private sectors in Pittsburgh and the surrounding region); our school communities nationally (students, parents, teachers and administrators); and our colleagues in the scholarly community (university faculty members, authors, researchers and other collaborators).

The Center for Urban Education seeks to serve, educate and include all of these people to promote growth, well being and equity in schools across the country. We are repeatedly reminded that above all, our work is driven by the desire to provide all students with fortifying, high-quality educational experiences, helping to pave their way toward a successful future.
