Chelsea Jimenez is a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. She is in her second year in the Urban Education PhD program. Prior to attending Pitt, she was an early childhood educator in South Carolina for Kindergarten and 1st grade. Her research focuses on language, anti-blackness, and the exclusion of Black languages from mainstream society and educational spaces.
