Iman Sandifer

Iman Sandifer (he/him/his) is a Ph.D. in Urban Education student and Equity and Justice Fellow from Hallandale Beach, Florida. His research interests include the recruitment, retention, and support of educators of color; educator racial affinity groups; and the impact of transformative social and emotional learning on teachers of color in advancing equity and excellence for all students. During his time at Pitt, he also held the positions of Vice President and Conference Co-Chair of the Council of Graduate Students in Education (CGSE), Ambassador for the School of Education, and graduate teaching assistant.
